Other gifts to Niles Community Church can take many forms and is a way to express love and support for the church after being called to God’s Kingdom.  The easiest way to gift is to include a provision in your will or living trust, leaving money or other financial assets (e.g., stock or bonds) to the church.  These gifts can go directly to the church or be contingent on other events occurring.  In addition, gifts can be restricted to a specific purpose or available for general use by the church. The following wording, in conjunction with a will or trust, may be used to gift to the church:

Gifting a Specific Dollar Amount

I hereby give, devise and bequeath the sum of $_________ to Niles Community Church, located at 7401 Oakton Street, Niles, Illinois 60714.  This gift is to be used to support the missions and ministries as of this church as determined by its Session.

Gifting Stocks or Bonds
I hereby give, devise and bequeath [provide specific information on the stocks and/or bonds to allow the executor to fulfill your wish] to Niles Community Church, located at 7401 Oakton Street, Niles, Illinois 60714. It is always best to consult an estate or financial adviser who can help you determine the most effective form of gifts or bequests and may suggest other options depending on your circumstances.

If you are considering a bequest but would like to ensure that your bequest will be used for a specific purpose, please let us know. We would be happy to work with you and your attorney to help you identify ways to give and meet your objectives. We will also work with you and your attorney to craft language to accomplish your goals. If you are making a restricted bequest, we recommend that your attorney include the following provision to give Niles Community Church flexibility should it no longer be possible for us to use your gift as you originally intended:
If, in the judgment of the Session of Niles Community Church, it shall become impossible for Niles Community Church to use this bequest to accomplish the specific purposes of this bequest, Niles Community Church may use the income and principal of this gift for such purpose or purposes as the Session determines is most closely related to the restricted purpose of my bequest.

Giving To Niles Community Church

Financial Giving to Niles Community Church allows us to provide for our missions and ministries within our church, our community and throughout the world. The every day work of the church is supported to a large extent through weekly donations to the General Fund through the Offering taken during Worship. We also receive support through our leases with various non-profit groups. The financial health of the church is overseen by our Session, working with the treasurer and recorders, and provides for our staff, worship place, church programs and general mission activities.
